Principal – Al-Nahda Weekend School
Najah Habbiyyieh has been a dedicated member of the Muslim community in the United States for over 30 years. She holds a degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Akron in Ohio and brings a diverse background in education, administration, and community service.
Najah served for 14 years as the Administrative Director of The Islamic Society of Akron & Kent. After relocating to Illinois in 2017, she began working as an ELL teacher in School District 109 and later joined Al-Nahda Center in 2021 as Principal of the Weekend School.
As Principal, she is committed to fostering a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students can grow academically, spiritually, and personally. Her leadership style emphasizes dedication, compassion, and leading by example.
Beyond her role at Al-Nahda, Najah is active in community health initiatives. She has served as a community health worker, supported the Worry Free Community, and provided interpretation and healthcare access assistance at the Be-Well Clinic.
