FAQ:

The following must be brought:
- Marriage approval from the competent US court.
- The presence of the wife’s guardian.
- Two adult, sane Muslim male witnesses.
- The presence of the husband and wife.
- Bringing the ID or any proof of identification for everyone.

Is it possible to conduct an Islamic contract without going to the competent American court?
An Islamic marriage contract cannot be performed without going to the competent American court and obtaining permission to perform an Islamic marriage contract, as this would entail major legal issues.
Can a non-Muslim witness an Islamic contract?
The witnesses to an Islamic marriage contract must be sane, adult Muslims.
Can a woman marry herself without the permission of her guardian?
The wife’s guardian must be present when the marriage contract is concluded if she is a virgin who has not been married before. The same applies to a woman who has been divorced or whose husband has died and wants to marry again. If the guardian is not present for any reason, the judge or the legal notary can take charge of her affairs and conclude the marriage contract for her after exhausting all means to obtain the permission of that woman’s guardian.
Can I marry a non-Muslim woman?
Islam permits marriage to a woman of the Book (Jewish or Christian), but a Muslim is not permitted to marry a polytheist woman who does not follow any religion.
